Aside from the top individual performers in eight divisions of the 20-school meet, Philippine Tot Baseball Foundation president Rodolfo "Boy" Tingzon, Jr. also acknowledged the league’s supporters, headed by Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando, Dunkin Donuts, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and Yellowcab.
Also gracing the rites highlighted by the parade of all participating squads were Rep. Del de Guzman, Councilor Vic Sabiniano and the city’s top baseball official Ricky Feliciano.
Others honored were Southridge’s Boyet Bernardo (9-10), Bambol Servo (11-12), Rodolfo Lugay (13-14) and Jimmy Paningasan (15-17), Woodrose’s Nina Serafica (softball elementary) and Poveda’s Randy Dizer (high school).
Other schools participating were International School, Ateneo, La Salle-Zobel, Manila Japanese Club, Northfield School, La Salle-Lipa, Marist, Xavier, Brent, La Salle-Antipolo, Marikina, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Paul’s College, Miriam and School of Holy Spirit.
Meanwhile, Tingzon is set to attend the annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Pony Baseball Zone set Jan. 13-15 in Seoul, Korea where he is expected to bid for the hosting of the Asia Pacific Pony Baseball Championship this year. — Joey Villar
