In a virtual extension of the recent PBA All-Star Week, the league will hold individual skills events inside the NBP compound with some inmates competing with the PBA stars.
Among the players tapped for this Christmas outreach program are Asi Taulava and Willie Miller of Talk n Text, Danny Seigle, Danny Ildefonso and Dondon Hontiveros of San Miguel, Mark Caguioa and Jayjay Helterbrand of Ginebra, Enrico Villanueva and Larry Fonacier of Red Bull, Renren Ritualo, Niño Canaleta and Ranidel de Ocampo of Air21, Rich Alvarez of Alaska and James Yap of Purefoods.
Each PBA team will have one player teaming up with an inmate in a two-ball contest fittingly dubbed "Two-Ball Challenge ng mga Astig."
A three-point shootout is also slated in the affair staged by the PBA through the Lamb of God religious group inside the penitentiary. A member of the group is Dennis Cerdena, a sportscaster who used to sit on the PBA and the PBL TV panels.
Another highlight of the event is a gift-giving session with the elderly patients at the NBP hospital among the chief beneficiaries. Nelson Beltran
