Alaska enlists new import; Purefoods battles Sta. Lucia

Alaska Milk has found an import to replace Artemus McClary in former US NCAA Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year Odell Bradley.

Bradley, a Nashville, Tennessee native who had a sterling stint with the IUPUI Jaguars in the US college ball, will be measured at the PBA office today and debuts with the Alaska Aces versus the Talk n Text Phone Pals Saturday.

Victor Thomas was the first choice of Alaska to take over from McClary but the former Sta. Lucia and Red Bull import was measured 9/16 inch over the height ceiling of six feet and six inches.

Bradley could easily make the height limit since he’s only listed as a 6-foot-4 forward in the IUPUI Jaguars journal.

He played out his collegiate eligibility last year where he powered the IUPUI to a second place finish behind eventual champion Valparaiso in the Mid-Contourney..

Meanwhile, Purefoods takes on Sta. Lucia Realty at the resumption of the San Mig Coffee PBA Fiesta Cup today at the Astrodome, seeking a win that will assure the team of a tie for first slot at the close of the double-round classifications.

In the other game, Air21 battles Red Bull Barako, looking to get out of a three-way tie at second place with Talk n Text and Barangay Ginebra.
