Junpen Seesraum broke a scoreless first half by scoring off a miss by Pitsamai Sornsai in the 56th minute of the second half. Indon striker Rosmita leveled the count with a ground ball from the right side but Chidtawan Chawong scored minutes later to deliver the marginal goal for Thailand.
"We should play with a lot of heart, the first half should have been better, we should have scored but we cannot do it. So I told them to work hard and play a more organized football," said Thai team manager Khajohnkiat Nipatpokai, whose wards battle host Philippines at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow. Tristan Taboac/Contributor
