Tri-media badminton slated in Intramuros

Fifteen teams battle it out for honors in the inaugural Philippine tri-media badminton tournament tomorrow at Feathers and Strings in Intramuros, Manila.
Organized by the Media Sports Club headed by Edith Datuin Angeles of Inquirer, the week-long event is being held in cooperation with the Powerade Badminton Challenge.
Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte and Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista have been invited as guest speakers in the opening ceremonies at Amoranto Stadium, Roces Ave., Quezon City .
Other backers of the event are Coca-Cola Export Corp., Phil. STAR, Unilever Philippines, Shoemart Inc., McDonalds, Autohaus BMW, SMART, Feathers and Strings, Stratworks, Triple V, Gloria Jeans Coffee and Tamayos Catering Services.
The participants are the following Inquirer Publications, Inc., Phil. Star, Manila Bulletin, Tempo, Manila Standard Today, Manila Times, Malaya Badminton Club, Abante, ABS-CBN, RPN-9, IBC-13, Radio Pilipino, MSC All Star and Philippine Press Institute.
