Baculi faces suspension
August 28, 2005 | 12:00am
Commissioner Joe Lipa has reportedly recommended to the NCAA Management Committee (Mancom) a one-game suspension on Philippine Christian U coach Junel Baculi for an unsportsmanlike conduct in their game against San Sebastian Friday.
The Mancom, chaired by Fr. Vic Calvo of Letran, is to meet tomorrow to discuss the matter.
Lipas recommendation stemmed from Baculi getting caught on television making a dirty finger on his back in reaction to a foul called after Carlos Cecilia made a basket against Francis de Leon.
Baculi was later assessed a technical foul for continuous complaining.
The Stags scored three fouls shots, including one on Baculis technical infraction, to tie the count at 50-all with 2.58 seconds left in the third quarter. San Sebastian went on to win the game, 81-75. Joey Villar
