PAL’s palakbayan backs RGFFP golfers

Rotary Golfing Fellowship Foundation of the Philippines (RGFFP) has joined hands with Philippine Airlines’ Palakbayan program for the staging of the 19th RGFFP Southern leg tournament Aug. 25-26 at the Rancho Palos Verdes and Apo Golf and Country Club courses in Davao City.

PAL president Jimmy Bautista endorsed the Palakbayan program to RGFFP.

Under the program, the player has to fly by PAL from Manila to Davao and back, spend five days and four nights in a superior room (double occupancy) at the Grand Regal Hotel, play up to four rounds of golf and attend fiestas every night and win prizes all for P12,485.

Early birds include 23 Rotarians from RC of Bagumbayan Manila and 15 from RC of Sto. Domingo, Quezon City.

RC Manila, RC Quezon City, RC Makati Southwest, RC Diliman and RC Metro West have also confirmed their participation.

Practice rounds are scheduled on Aug. 22-25 with a player getting to practice free for one round per course.

The team captains’ meeting will be held on Aug. 25, followed by a welcome cocktail. RC Davao North will host a dinner fiesta on Aug. 26 while the awarding rites will be held on Aug. 27.
