Sound Offer teamed up perfectly with jockey Fernando Racquel Jr. yesterday and ruled the third leg of the Philracom Imported Stakes Race Series at the Santa Ana Park.
The five-year-old filly was never out of the picture during the 1,600-meter race, running second behind Heroics early on before taking control of the race on the backstretch.
Wild Orchid and Heroics briefly challenged Sound Offer but couldnt offer anything more as Sound Offer pulled away entering the homestretch and won by five lengths.
Sound Offer, the race favorite, won P270,000 for owner Enrique Javier.
Glamour unleashed a big kick to take second place and P101,000 while Wild Orchid was third. Rounding out the five-horse race were Heroics and Last Snip.
Sound Offer won with a time of 1:40.6 with quartertimes of 24-24-24-27.
The first of the five-leg series was won by Sir Golden Score and the second by Stowaway Lass. Ramon Romualdez
