Despite receiving formal communication from the Philippine Olympic Committee suspending the Basketball Association of the Philippines, the Philippine Sports Commission isnt going to evict the troubled group from its current office inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex just yet.
"Hindi pa," said lawyer Guillermo Iroy, acting executive director of PSC officer-in-charge William "Butch" Ramirez.
"Bigyan muna natin sila ng due process," he added referring to the BAP, suspended Wednesday by the POC general assembly.
This gives the BAP, which holds office at the second floor of the agencys administration building in the complex, time to relocate elsewhere.
BAPs dilemma was compounded by reports that the Syrian team seeing action in the FIBA-Asia Champions Cup unfurling today at the Araneta Coliseum was held up at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Friday night for lack of visa. Joey Villar
