SMB All Stars face Alvin-led CKV selection in Valenzuela

The San Miguel All Stars, featuring Ato Agustin, Pido Jarencio and Vince Hizon among others, visit the Christ the King Village basketball court in Bagbaguin, Valenzuela on May 1 to play the Alvin Patrimonio-reinforced CKV selection in an exhibition game held in connection with the barangay fiesta festivities.

Presented by the CKV Homeowners Association, headed by Retired Police Chief Inspector Tomas Juan, in coordination with the barangay council, led by chairman Bayani Avergas, the game also features Purefoods coach Ryan Gregorio and other former PBA players Ronnie Magsanoc, Gerry Esplana, Mar Morelos, Elmer Reyes, Jolly Escobar, Chris Bolado, Nonoy Falcasantos, Ed Cordero, Joey Santamaria and Henry Fernandez.

Red Bull Barako assistant coach Rhoel Nadurata calls the shots for the host team.

Juan and The Philippine Star sportswriter Nelson Beltran co-chair the organizing committee which has Eric Silva, Carlo Callos, Sammy Talon, Francis Macaraeg and Joseph Lopez as members.

Red Bull and the Rotary Club of Valenzuela back the special game preceded by the preliminary tiff pitting the CKV Seniors and their Centro counterparts.
