Real Spicy, Empire King exact revenge

Real Spicy and Empire King fashioned out a pair of gripping but contrasting victories over their respective arch rivals to rule the two

P1-million races before a big Sunday crowd at San Lazaro Park.

Real Spicy rallied from sixth place and charged home from the outside to nip Speed Advantage by a nose in the Crown Prince Abdullah IBN Abdul Aziz Al Saud Cup, while Empire King held on to the lead in the last 300 meters and squeezed out a nail-biting victory over Cover Girl in the President Arroyo Cup.

Those wins netted Real Spicy and Empire King P600,000 each, but more importantly, the victories avenged the two horses’ previous losses to their respective rivals in their continuing battle for turf supremacy.
