Ardina, Dela Paz pull off big wins in Christmas jungolf

Former world jungolf champion Dottie Ardina hopped into a new division and still dominated the opposition with a rousing victory while Bambee dela Paz scored a big upset in the Nike-sponsored Christmas tournament of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines at the Canlubang north course recently in Laguna.
Ardina scored an 80 and finished 11 strokes ahead of Andrea Legaspi in girls Class C (11-12 years) to keep her unbeaten run in the local scene.
Dela Paz joined Ardina in the list of girls division winners with a 79, beating Matet Salivio by five in Class A (15-17 years) while Crystal Superal led another family sweep by topping Class B (13-14 years).
Crystals younger brother Wolen turned in the days best round of one-under 71 to win boys Class C by 18 strokes while their youngest sister topped girls Class E (7-8 years) which was played at the Riviera executive course by seven.
Andie Unson prevailed in girls Class D (9-10 years) and Janella Buen was the winner in girls Class F (6 and under).
Matthew Manotoc edged IG Gutierrez by two shots with a one-over 73 in Class A.
The other boys division winners were Bino dela Paz in Class D, Jik Jik Abdon in boys Class B, AR Ramos in Class E and Kouji Kano in Class F.
