RTU, UA-P stake unbeaten slates

-
Rizal Technological University and University of the Assumption-Pampanga try to keep their unbeaten slates in separate events today of the WNCAA 35th season.

A victory by RTU against St. Scholastica’s College in their 5 p.m. battle at the latter’s homecourt will give them the solo lead.

RTU currently shares the top with Lyceum of the Philippines and defending champion College of St. Benilde.

Surprise second placer Centro Escolar University, one of the three newcomers this season, will attempt to improve its 4-1 record when it takes on host school San Beda College Alabang at 3:30 p.m.

De La Salle Zobel and Miriam College, both sporting 3-0 cards, eye joint juniors leadership with idle SBCA (4-0) as they go up against Angelicum College and St. Scho, respectively.

UA-P will go for its eighth win versus Emilio Aguinaldo College (2-4) at 12 noon in seniors volleyball at the RTU gym.

The WNCAA 35th season is co-presented by Kotex and sponsored by adidas, The Philippine Star, RPN 9, Monster Radio RX 93.1, Pantene and Café Lupe, in cooperation with Cadbury, Goldilocks, Powerade, Molten, Mikasa and Rustan’s Essenses.

In juniors volleyball at the EAC gym, RTU tries to equal Miriam’s 7-0 slate when it meets UA-P at 2:30 p.m.

Unbeaten midgets leaders SBCA and Miriam, both with 3-0 records, square off at 11 a.m.
