Fund-raising match pits Red Bull vs TnT

Red Bull coach Yeng Guiao is working double time to make sure his team is in competitive form in time for next months Sultans Cup tournament in Brunei.
With the Philippine Basketball Association in off-season, Guiao graciously accepted several invitations for his team to play exhibition matches to keep the Barakos in tip-top shape.
His latest commitment pits the Red Bull Barakos against the Talk N Text Phone Pals in an exhibition game for a cause on Aug. 28, at the TSU gym in Tarlac City.
The encounter, a fund-raising project by the Rotary Club of Poblacion, Tarlac, coincides with the Rotary International centennial anniversary celebration.
Proceeds of the project will benefit blind students of the Tarlac West Elementary School of San Roque, Tarlac.
Red Bull Barako and Talk N Text have started practicing in preparation for their coming stints in invitational tournaments abroad.
The Barakos along with the Purefoods Hotdogs will compete in the Sultans Cup scheduled Sept. 18-Oct. 2 while the Phone Pals will be competing in another tournament in Taipei also next month.
Last Wednesday, Cyrus Baguio scored in the dying seconds to lift the Barakos past the Sta. Lucia Realtors, 113-112, in an exhibition game that highlighted the inauguration of the San Sebastian-Recoletos Centennial gym in Cavite City.
