More than 400 alumni and students from Ateneo and La Salle are playing in the 18-hole event that stakes awards for top finishers in Class A, Class B, Class C and the Open division.
Carrying the theme "Stronger Together", the tourney backed by Globe Privilege Club, Pepsi and Johnny Air Cargo breaks a long-time tradition as it deviates from the usual school vs. school format and will now feature a player from each side forming a team.
It will also mark the first time that what used to be a three-day competition is held on just one day and a weekend mainly because of the sprawling Eagle Ridge venue which has four championship courses and three clubhouses.
Player are advised to check in early for the shotgun tee-off starting at 8 a.m. Organizers also announced that walk-in participants must register by 7 a.m. and will be accommodated on a best-effort basis.
Hole sponsors for La Salle are Malate Construction and Devt Corp., Broline.com, Oakley, Diamond Motors, YKK Philippines, Integrated Computer System Inc., PCSO, Titleist/Dynamic, Skechers, Dunkin Donuts, AB Capital & Investment, Corp., DLSAA, LSGHAA, TMS Ship Agencies, Inc., M.E.
