PBA fans to vote for All-Star starters

Balloting for the 2004 Philippine Basketball Association All-Star game starts tomorrow with league fans getting the chance to vote in the starters of the North and South teams in the mid-season extravaganza.

The All-Star game returns to the tried and tested North vs South format for the first time in almost a decade, the match serving as highlight of what promises to be a full week of fun and excitement in Cebu City.

"It is with great pride and honor that we’re bringing the All-Star festivities to our fans in Cebu City, and we’re leaving no stone unturned to make this one of the most memorable All-Stars ever," said commissioner Noli Eala.

League fans can join the action by helping determine the five starters of the two teams. They can cast their votes through in-venue balloting during games, texting or through on-line voting at www.pba.com.ph.

The seven other members of each team will be picked by the league’s 10 coaches. The honor of coaching the All-Star team will come from the two best placed local teams at the end of the Gran Matador-PBA Fiesta Conference.
