Two aces to fuel Havoline team’s comeback bid

-
The powerhouse Havoline Racing Team plunges into action at full strength when the second stop of the National Touring Car Championships erupts at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Maligaya, Rosario, Batangas on Sunday.

Four-time Driver of the Year Jody Coseteng and last year’s National Junior Touring champion Oscar Aguilar, who both were not able to strut their stuff in the first leg, will lead the assault of a complete Havoline team.

Coseteng elected to skip the Batangas opener due to the repairs being made at that time in his racing car.

But the Super Class A champion of the Subic SVI Challenge will be a force to reckon with once he competes in the second leg, together with Havoline skipper Aguilar, who like him, is also raring to see action in the premier N1 event where the two are entered.

"A driver’s worst nightmare is not losing, but not being able to participate. You are helpless on the sidelines and you definitely cannot do anything to alter the situation you’re in. Wala kang kalaban-laban," said Aguilar. "But when you’re in the race, at least you have the opportunity to dictate where you want to be."

Other members of the Havoline team, which is powered by Vortex Gold and supported by Rota Wheels, Brembo Brakes, Hyper Parts, Gatorz Eyewear, Gaspeed, Kolor Craft, Auto Trend, DZ Racing race and performance and Atoy Body Kits are Nilo Pazcoguin, Dr. Peewee Mendiola and Oscar’s son Christian Aguilar. The Havoline team also supports boy wonder Tyson Sy.

"This is it. What we have now is a complete Havoline Racing Team aching to show its true strength," said Havoline product manager Paul Familara. "With Havoline’s fully synthetic oil, and the team’s innate ability and determined bid, I am confident that we can never go wrong."
