Pagsanjan’s Beam-Zest-O set May 23

The tourism town of Pagsanjan unravels the athletic side of its residents as they compete in the Beam-Zest-O Patakbong Pinoy set May 23 at the town plaza.

Municipal Mayor Emilio Ramon Ejercito has welcomed the 5-km event to this Laguna town frequented by tourists out to shoot the rapids and catch a glimpse of the Pagsanjan Falls.

"The good mayor has shown his love for sports as an avenue to draw more visitors to the town by welcoming the Beam-Zest-O Patakbong Pinoy,"said Jonel Promotions head Nelson Macaraig. "I hope that all local executives will follow his example for the benefit of sports development at the grassroots."

The event will be conducted by the Media Runners and Sports Promotions.

Pagsanjan residents of all ages are encouraged to get in touch with Sangguniang Kabataan Federation head Jay-ar P. Aliano.

Top 10 places each in the men’s and women’s will be contested with cash prizes and medals up for grabs.

Since its inaugural race last October in Manila, the MRSP has already featured legs in Batangas, Valenzuela, Olongapo, Pasig, Laguna (Pila) and Bataan, where the 19th Araw ng Kagitingan Ultramarathon touched off.
