CCP Bobcats beef up roster for CUSA tilt

The CCP Bobcats, reigning overall champions of the Colleges and Universities Sports Association (CUSA) tournaments from 1998 to 2002 inclusive, are beefing up their team line-up in preparation for the coming school year.

Athletes who wish to be part of the 2004-2005 squad are invited to try out for the men’s basketball team coached by ex-PBA player-coach and former Olympian Elias Tolentino. Men’s tryouts are scheduled at 3 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting today.

Interested athletes for the women ‘s basketball team under coach Henry Serrano are invited to attend the women’s try-outs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 3 p.m. starting tomorrow.

Try-outs are also being conducted for the following CCP varsity teams: Volleyball (men’s and women’s teams, under coach Arnold Dino), table tennis (men’s and women’s teams, under coach Randy Fortunado), badminton (men’s and women’s teams, under coach Voltaire Paez), chess (,men’s and women’s teams, under coach Anthony Raon) and football (men’s teams, under coach Ravelo Saluria).

For more details, call up Henry Serrano or Zaldy Fortunado at tel nos. 715-5170 to 75 local 123. Applicants must be high school graduates, aged between 17 and 22.
