Gulp Siete-Onse 3-on-3 stakes P2M

-
7-Eleven is staking P2 million in cash prizes as it stages the Gulp 3-on-3 Siete-Onse inter-barangay basketball tournament from May 19-June 12 to underscore its commitment to communities where its convenience stores are located.

The country’s premier convenience store and its house brand Gulp, in cooperation with Pepsi X Cola, launch this summer program in a press conference yesterday in its main office in Columbia Tower, Ortigas ave., Mandaluyong City.

To start the event which 7-Eleven hopes to hold annually, 500 barangay teams will be selected to vie for the P500,000 cash pot in both the juniors and seniors divisions. Another P500,000 worth of equipment awaits the barangays the champion teams represent.

All male players from Greater Manila and the outlying provinces, except active PBA, PBL and collegiate players, are qualified to play in the tournament.

Participants in the juniors division must be aged 11-17 while those who want to join the seniors division must be 18-25.

A 22-oz Gulp will entitle buyer to a loyalty card with one purchase stamp. Succeeding purchases mean more stamps in the loyalty card. A fully stamped loyalty card entitles the bearer to a free Gulp. He or she must collect as many completed loyalty cards, provide name, address, contact numbers and signature in an envelope, and drop this in drop boxes located inside all 7-Eleven stores to have a chance in joining the event.

The top 500 customers with the highest number of submitted loyalty cards will be tapped to form his or her team to represent barangays they belong to. — Nelson Beltran
