St. Francis gains NCRAA volley semis

-
St. Francis of Assisi frustrated La Salle-Dasmariñas, 25-21, 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, Thursday in the men’s division quarterfinals of the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) volleyball competitions at the RTU gym.

This kept the Dasmariñas Patriots keeping an immaculate slate, allowing the SFAC Doves to seize the solo lead with their sixth straight victory.

This also ensured the Doves’ place in the crossover semifinal round while the Patriots are now locked in a two-way fight for No. 2 with Lyceum with their 5-1 cards.

The Lyceum Pirates won over Philippine Maritime Institute, 22-25, 25-18, 22-15, 25-8.

PATTS may have lost to Polytechnic University of the Philippines following a 26-24, 18-25, 11-25, 25-22, 15-12, verdict, but theAirmen remained in contention for the last semis berth at 3-3.

The Dasmariñas Lady Patriots kept the solo lead in the women’s side at 6-0 after putting away Olivarez College, 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

The Lady Pirates stayed behind the Lady Patriots at 5-1 after turning back New Era University, 25-15, 25-11, 25-16.

Olivarez slipped to third at 4-2. But the OC spikers are still in contention with PUP and St. Francis, which are locked in a tight battle for fourth at 3-3.

This is after PUP stopped San Sebastian-Cavite, 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15, and the Lady Doves won by default over Philippine School of Business Administration.<
