Dowling lifts Lady Maroons

Ma. Camille Dowling pulled off another sterling performance Sunday as University of the Philippines defeated UE, 67-55, to remain in solo second at the start of the second round of the 66th UAAP womens basketball tournament at the Adamson gym.
Dowling scattered 23 points and had 12 rebounds as she powered the Lady Maroons to their sixth win in seven games. They trail the Adamson Lady Falcons who are idle with a 6-0 card..
Kristine Chua made 14 points to go with five rebounds and Katrina Quimpo had 12 markers for Ateneo, which downed FEU, 48-41. The Lady Eagles improved their record to 4-3.
In the other match, it was UST over De La Salle, 61-55, with Ma. Theresa Palenzuela topscoring for the Lady Tigers with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Aileen Rose Arcigal finishing with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Standings: Adamson 6-0, UP 6-1, De La Salle 3-4, Ateneo 4-3, UST 3-4, FEU 2-5, UE 0-7.
