Celebs show wares in badminton

All 11 teams entered in the Sportshouses Corporate and Celebrity Cup invitational badminton tournament are in deep preparation for the event that kicks off Monday at the Yellow Feather Badminton Center in Libis, Quezon City.
Also feverish in their preparations are movie and television personalities who are vying in the tournamentco-presented by Dunlop Slazenger Phils.that will have its opening ceremonies and preliminaries from July 14-16 at the Yellow Feather and the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals and Celebrity Cup from July 17-20 at the SM Megamall Atrium.
Entered in the Corporate Cup are teams from the Asian Development Bank, Bingo Bonanza Corp., CB Richard Ellis, Crossover 105.1-Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, Dive Shoppe, Nokia, Philippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Pioneer-DuPont Chemicals, Philippine National Bank and Procter and Gamble.
Co-organized by Team Powerplay headed by Olympian Amparo "Weena" Lim, the tournament also has Quantum Global, Robson-Sportscraft, Ultramax, Linos Food and Entertainment and Ratskys as major sponsors.
More than P.5 million in raffle prizesincluding a four-wheel, all-terrain motorbike, electric scooters and mountain bikeshave been prepared by Sportshouse, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
