MDSA, Biraogo share top honors in Barias Cup

The Manila Downtown Shooters Association (MDSA) and Lyndon Biraogo led the winners in the First Chief FED (Firearms and Explosive Division) Gerry L. Barias Cup held recently at Camp Karingal shooting range in Quezon City.

Biraogo topped the standard division, beating Israelito Pible and Marlon Valencia while MDSA ran away with the standard team crown, winning over Manila Rifle Pistol Shooting Club (MRPSC) and National Power Corp. (NPC) in the event held in honor of Gerry L. Barias, Chief of the PNP Firearms and Explosives Division.

Other winners in the tournament which drew a record 322 entries in the Level 1 match sanctioned by the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) were Al Angeles (standard individual-juniors), Art Cantolino (standard individual-seniors) and Jennifer Lombos (standard individual-ladies),Gochin Zaragoza (AFP/LAWMAN/NALEC), Christian Panganiban (Open division), Ram Claudio (Open individual-juniors); Boy Abu (Open individual-seniors);

Rico Papa (modified division), Sonny Parsons (media/celebrity-standard), Robert Po (FED-standard), Rommel Cabungcal (production division), Tess Mariano (lady production), Elmo San Diego of CPD (host club-standard), Jose Tuliao (range officer), Cesar Saguiguit (modified champion), Gabriel Espinosa (production division), Alex Lao (shotgun-semi-auto category) and Danny dela Paz (pump category).
