Ten of the countrys best teams will pit guts and skills when the 2003 Petron Beach Volleyball Championship blasts off at the Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park, Kawit, Cavite May 3-4.
Organized by Volts Sports Management, the two-day volleyball fiesta aims to provide young ladies a fun, competitive chance to represent themselves and their sponsors.
"We aim to pursue the Olympic ideal of sports for all," said Volts executive director and former Philippine Sports commissioner Tisha Abundo.
"Women athletes are always raring to show their wares but they have very few avenues to showcase their talent. This will be their chance to shine," Abundo added.
The tournament is open to former or current members of a university, college or high school varsity teams.
The 10 teams, which will be selected by a Volts screening committee, will be divided into two groups through the drawing of lots.
