Lopez lifts Blu vs Nutri-licious in double OT

Randy Lopez scored on a follow-up at the buzzer as Blu Star Detergent survived Nutri-licious, 92-90, in double overtime to join three others at the helm of the Sunkist PBL Unity Cup at the Makati Coliseum last night.

Lopez, one of the four new acquisitions of Blu, snared the rebound off a Lou Gatumbato miss and then scored on a putback for the clincher as time expired.

Nutri-licious dropped to 1-1.

Earlier, Montana Pawnshop vented its ire on newcomer Viva Mineral Water, 83-54, to bounce back from an opening day loss to Nutri-licious.

Gary David led Montana’s charge with 22 points, including 15 in the third quarter as the Jewellers broke away to register the conference’s first blow out.
