Architects group to host Emerald Cup billiards

The Architects Billiards Association (ABA) will hold the Emerald Cup billiards championship in cooperation with Emerald uPVC Pipes & Fittings, starting at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Playdium Bowling and Billiards along Tagupo St. corner Araneta Ave., Quezon City.

Twenty-two teams of architects, engineers and designer-consultants are competing in the tournament sponsored by Emerald Vinyl Corporation, the leading manufacturer of quality and high-impact uPVC pipes and fittings and PVC Shearframe windows, and the only ISO 180-9001 certified in the country.

Quezon City Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista is the guest of honor and speaker during the opening ceremonies.

After the inaugurals at Playdium, action shifts to the E-lanes along Ortigas on March 29, again at Playdium on April 5, Coronado Lanes on April 26 and back to Playdium on May 3 and on May 10 for the championship. Awards night is set at the Ahoy There Bar and Restaurant along Timog Ave., Quezon City at 7 p.m. on May 10.

The competing teams are Architects Billiards Association, Emerald-Shearframe, Emerald-PVC Pipes, Casme Technology, Davis Langdon & Seah, DCCD Engineering, JSR Engineering, D.A. Abcede & Associates, I.A. Campbell & Associates, Anthony Jerome Lara & Associates, TCGI Engineering, NBF Engineering, F.L. Figueroa & Associates, Design Coordinates Inc., Eduardo H. Tan & Associates, ESCA Engineering, Rider Hunt Liacor Inc., Schema Konsult, E.D.L.E. Espinosa Jr. & Associates, Recio & Casas Architects and Jose Aliling & Associates.
