NCR downs Southern Tagalog, Central Luzon in WNCAA

SAN FERNANDO CityNational Capital Region notched its second straight basketball win late Friday while Visayas tied it for the lead yesterday in the first National Championship Games of the 33rd WNCAA-adidas at the University of the Assumption-Pampanga gym here.
NCR downed Southern Tagalog, 83-55, Friday afternoon, following its 119-37 conquest of Central Luzon in the morning.
Southern Tagalog bounced back yesterday with an 88-63 win over Central Luzon.
Visayas, meanwhile, downed Bicol last Friday, 106-48, before scoring another lopsided 77-38 triumph yesterday at the expense of the Cordillera Autonomous Region.
The 33rd WNCAA-adidas is being supported by RPN 9, Nokia, Kampo Uno, Close Up, Monster Radio RX 93.1, Don Henricos Pizza, Elle, official marketing group Tactical Experts Corporation, Robinsons Malls, Café Lupe and Cream Silk.
In volleyball competition, NCR moved to within a win of sweeping the elimination phase following its 25-13, 25-9, 25-14 victory over Central Luzon, which slumped to 0-2.
