Security Master notches 5th win

Security Master romped away with a convincing victory in the first leg of the Road to Triple Crown yesterday, dominating the seven-horse field with an eight-length win over Success Story at the Santa Ana Park.
The Myther Buñag-Tony Eleazar-owned three-year-old bay colt bolted out of the pack in second place behind the quick-starting High Octane but in no time grabbed the lead for good on his way to that one-sided victory worth P450,000.
It was Security Masters fifth straight victory, installing himself as the horse to beat in the upcoming Triple Crown series which will gather the countrys best three-year-old chargers.
Security Master covered the 1,600-meter race in 1:41 with quartertimes of 24-25-24-27.
Success Story came in second worth P168,750 while Reigns Supreme nipped High Octane for third place worth P93,750. Ramon Romualdez
