KUALA LUMPUR Gerald Rosales shot an eagle-spiked 68 yesterday to make the cut in the rain-hit Carlsberg Malaysian Open paced by South African Retief Goosen at the par-71 Mines Resort & Golf Club here.
Rosales, who struggled with a one-over par 72 Thursday, had a 140, good for a temporary share of 46th place with eight others in the $1.1 million championship featuring some of the worlds best players, including Retief Goosen, the worlds no. 5 who fired a 29 on his front nine en route to a 64.
Over in Gold Coast, Australia, Geralds sister Jennifer made a good account of herself in the Australian Ladies Masters, carding a 70 for a share of 16th place, four strokes behind leader Patricia Meunier Lebouc of France in the first round of the $475,000 ANZ event.
