NBL Luzon leg gets underway

National Basketball League (NBL) unwraps the Luzon leg of its first regional championship today with three games at the Tinga gym in Taguig, Rizal.
It will be Pampangas University of Assumption against Mandaluyongs Wangs Ball Club at 3 p.m., Malabons Spring Cooking Oil against Cebus M. Lhuillier-Kwarta Padala at 5 and Ozamizs Shineway Ham Sausage against Forward Taguig at 6:30.
NBL executive vice president Nathaniel "Tac" Padilla will declare the tourney open during the opening ceremony at 4:30 p.m. and make the ceremonial toss together with Basketball Association of the Philippines officials Graham Lim and Tony Fabico, Taguig Mayor Sigfrido Tinga and Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog.
