NCA 7-cock derby resumes at Big Dome

With the country’s leading cocker-breeders competing, the NCA seven-cock derby resumes today and Wednesday at the world-class Araneta Coliseum. It will be hosted by JV Magsaysay, Romy Panganiban and Amang Magsaysay.

A year-round affair, the series is being organized by the premier National Cockers Association led by Big Dome owner Nene Araneta, Jun Santiago and Ito Ynares. Also seeing action are Danding Cojuangco, James Chiongbian, Peping Cojuangco and Esting Teopaco, Las Piñas Mayor Nene Aguilar, Rudy Albano, Dicky Lim, Eddie Araneta, prominent Bulacan businessman Nestor "Spider" Alcala, Fil-Americans Rene Medina and Ric de Guzman from San Francisco, California; Tos and Charlie Reyes, Pampanga’s Madlambayan and Jingco brothers, Frank Berin, Mario Villamor and Boy Jiao, Alex and Gerry Escalona, Vic Yu, Louie Cua, Claude Bautista and Boyboy Roa, John Capinpin, Edgar Santos and Ruel Ricafort.

Negros Occidental’s Johnny Jalandoni, Boy Velez, Eddie Boy Ledesma and Boy Nilo Lizares, Alex Tan of Cebu, Mindanao’s Boy Primalion and Arthur and Bebot Uy, Southern Tagalog’s Romy Panganiban, Tony Lasala and Danny Mendoza and Northern Luzon’s Chito Bersamin, Rocky Molintas and Eugene Martin.

The next NCA seven-cock derby will be held on March 3-5, with NCA regular Mayor Nene Aguilar and Gerry Ramos as hosts.
