Kalayaan Kiwanis holds Games for special kids

The Kiwanis Club of Kalayaan, Quezon City will hold its 16th annual Kiwanis Special Games for mentally and developmentally handicapped children on Feb. 8 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Amoranto Sports Complex. This special event has been conducted continuously since 1987.
Jesus Pamintuan Jr., president of the Kiwanis Club of Kalayaan, said that the Special Games which aims to develop competitiveness among special children will be participated in by more than 45 schools/centers from Metro Manila and neighboring cities. Track and field, ball games and other developmental sports will be played to enhance and improve the physical and mental skills of these children. Moreover, the event will be a day of fun for the children and their families.
Major sponsors of the games are Pagcor and Nestle, NIDO, Phils.
