Siso, Atienza lead age group netters

Sally Mae Siso of Cebu City ousted Fredmoore Dominisacio, 6-2, 6-2, and Vincent Atienza of Tiaong, Quezon province edged Julius Lagman 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, to advance in their respective age brackets yesterday at the start of the 2002 Milo Junior Tennis Cup and Regional Workshop at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

Siso moved into the second round of the unisex 10-under division with Juan Gabriel Pena, a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Marvin Tipace; Leander Lazaro who whipped Jan Garcia, 6-1, 6-2; Dennis Alano. who routed Roman Floreza, 6-1, 6-2; Noel Agra, who demolished Kevin Mamawal, 6-0, 6-1; Juan Pocholo Macalino, who downed Calvin Canlas, 6-1, 6-1.

Sarah Lim blanked Ana Patrimonio, 6-0, 6-0; Zhane Quitara ousted Chynna Mamawal, 6-2, 6-0; and Remar Hernandez tripped Martin Libao, 6-2, 6-2.

Atienza advanced in the boys’ 12-under class along with Rodell Navarro, who blasted Jacob Lagman, 6-1, 6-2; Jose Opulencia, who won over Carlos Espidido, 6-2, 6-0; Homer Perez, who blanked Joseph Baldonado, 6-0, 6-0; Carl Pabalan, who whitewashed Cyril Camporedondo, 6-0, 6-1; and James Canete, who nipped Mark Balce, 6-1, 6-4.
