CoL claims WBL elementary crown

Community of Learners (CoL) beat St. Scholasticas College, 35-26, to bag the elementary crown in the Milo BEST Womens Basketball League (WBL) which ended recently at the St. Benedict College sports complex in Alabang Hills.
Poveda Learning Center, De La Salle Zobel and University of Santo Tomas shared the honors with CoL by bagging the high school developmental, high school competitive and college titles, respectively.
Poveda downed St. Anthony, 29-26; DLSZ nipped Miriam College, 70-68; and UST subdued St. Benedict, 47-41.
Assumption took third in the elementary and prep (competitive) levels by beating DLSZ, 40-25, and JASMS, 49-38, respectively, while Holy Spirit edged St. Theresas, 22-19, and Miriam routed University of Asia Pacific, 68-33, also for third spot in the high school (developmental) and college brackets, respectively.
Ria Landingin, Katrina Quimpo, Cathy Romualdo and Risha Ann Vargas emerged as MVP in the elementary, prep competitive, prep developmental and college levels, respectively.
The sportsmanship awards went to UP Integrated School (developmental), UAP (college), Poveda (elementary) and Assumption (competitive).
