Bigger Nestea beach volleyball slated next year

Nestea, the country’s biggest name in ice tea refreshment, is set to open the coming year with the biggest splash of athletic action and adventure for the young with the staging of the seventh Nestea Beach Volley University Championships.

This early, Nestea is inviting all collegiate beach volley players from all over the country to register for the tournament, touted as the biggest edition in seven years.

The tournament unfolds on January 2003 with the first leg of eliminations to be held in Manila. Nestea is offering huge prizes, more side events and a bigger scope of competition. More athletes will have the chance to participate as four elimination legs will be held–one each for Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Over a hundred teams from different schools from all over the country are expected to participate in the tournament. They will be vying for more than P500,000 in prizes with P100,000 going to the champions, and another P50,000 worth of sports equipment to be awarded to their alma mater.
