Free Wind gains two-length victory at San Lazaro

Free Wind lived up to expectations yesterday when he posted a two-length victory in the Don Juan de Manila Derby at the San Lazaro Hippodrome.

The three-year-old galloper ridden by JT Zarate won the 1,900-m race in 2:00.5 with quartertimes of 17’-24’-27-24’-27 and took home the P600,000 top purse for his owner.

Coming in second and winning P225,000 was San Diego Force, followed by Mighty Strong and Magical Mark. — Ramon Romualdez
