The Philippine Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Organization (PHILTOBO) unveiled its third Futurity Championship Racing festival with a superb opening card of evening races starting yesterday at the Santa Ana Park.
Philtobos five-day racing festival continues tonight with another top-notch card of 10 exciting races and culminates with an exciting weekend program headlined by five Mitra Cup Championships, a series of top money races among the best locally-bred thoroughbreds in the country.
"Inspired by the huge success of last two editions of the Philtobo Futurity Championships, this years festivities have now been expanded into a five-day racing festival featuring some of the best horses in each competitive division," according to Philtobo Mitra Cup Chairman Eric Tagle.
The five events will be disputed over progressive distances of 1,500-meters for Juvenilles, 1,600-meters for 3-year-olds and 2,050-meters for the Classic and carries a guaranteed winners purse of P300,000 each.
