St. Benilde, Miriam try to stay unbeaten

College of St. Benilde and Miriam College will try to keep their records unblemished when they tackle separate opponents today in the 33rd WNCAA-Adidas basketball tournament at the St. Scholasticas College gym.
The defending champion SBC Blazers go for their fifth straight win versus the fiery Red Lilies of Siena College (2-2) at 1:30 p.m. while the MC Golden Phoenix, running second with a 3-0 card, take on the Lyceum Lady Pirates in the 12 noon match.
The Lady Pirates are just a game behind the Golden Phoenix at 3-1.
CSBs latest victim was the University of Assumption-Pampanga, 67-34, last Sunday.
On the same day, Miriam notched its third victory at the expense of Rizal Technological University, 60-48.
The last game of the day will pit St. Scho (2-3) against winless Emilio Aguinaldo College (0-4) at 3 p.m.
The 33rd WNCAA-Adidas is being supported by RPN-9, DWRX 93.1, Don Henricos Pizza, Avon, Elle, official marketing group Tactical Xperts Corporation and official balls Mikasa and Molten.
