Prizes galore in duckpin bowlfest

Gift certificates worth around P300,000 will be up for grabs in the Philippine Duckpin Bowling Council’s 28th National Open championships on Aug. 24 to Sept. 1 at the Puyat Sports Center in Starmall along EDSA.

According to PHIDBC president Inez Magbual, competition will be conducted in four events–team, singles (classes A/B) and singles (class C) for men and ladies and mixed doubles.

Major prizes are P35,000 and P30,000 for the men’s and ladies’ team champions, respectively; P12,000 each for A/B singles winners, P10,000 each for C singles topnotchers and P10,000 for the mixed doubles titlists. All prizes are in the form of gift certificates.

There will also be individual and team awards.
