Sinfuego-Fernando paces Mizuno golf

-
Richard Sinfuego fired a three-under-par 65 and steered his Sta. Elena partner Felix Fernando to a four-stroke lead at the start of the first Mizuno-PGAP Two-Man Challenge at the Aguinaldo Golf Club course.

With Fernando’s four-over 72, the Sta. Elena duo totaled 137 to lead Villamor’s fancied tandem of Robert Pactolerin and Rolando Marabe in the 36-hole event featuring the country’s top pros representing their respective home clubs.

Pactolerin tallied a one-under 67 that went with Marabe’s 74.

Three teams shared third spot at 143. They were Vic Santia-Rodolfo Enema of Villamor, Roger Antonio-Max Nevaras of Logcom and Leo Serdina-Juanito Pagunsan.

The 29 teams entered in the tourney, which marks the return of the top pros to competitive action after a long while, will play the alternate shots format today.

Aside from Mizuno, also supporting the Two-Man Challenge are MCC Stainless Steel, Moreta Shipping Lines Inc., Evercrest Batulao Golf Club Resort, Jess Bartolome of Fairways Cargo Movers, Nestle and Pete Panaligan of Pyramid Logistics and Trucking Corp.

The other notables in the field were Danny Zarate-Yukiharu Takahashi at 145, Tony Lascuna-Ricky Marcelo at 146 and Mars Pucay-Roger Diocares at 150.
