Zarate, Cuello to lead teams in Mizuno Challenge

Japan World Cup partners Danny Zarate and Rodrigo Cuello are expected to lead the field in the first Mizuno-Professional Golfers Association of the Philippines Two-Man Team Challenge set on Aug. 12-13 at the Aguinaldo Golf Club course.
Zarate, currently the best-placed Filipino in the Asian Tour rankings, and Cuello will try to lead their respective partners to victory in the unique 36-hole event which will require competing pros to represent their respective home clubs.
Zarate plays out of Riviera while Cuello is based at Villamor.
Mizuno, through local distributor Masters Sports headed by Lovell Gopez, is providing the bulk of the prize package as pros hold one of their biggest events since the Philippine Open at Wack Wack.
The field is open to the first 40 teams but everything will depend on the tournament conditions to be drafted by the PGAP.
Entry fee is P5,000 per team. Interested parties may call the PGAP secretariat at the Power Golf Driving Range at tel. nos. 635-2592 or 635-2593. Deadline for submission of entries is tomorrow.
