Youth triathlon series 3rd leg up

The third leg of the on-going Fit and Tri Youth Triathlon Series 2002 takes place on Aug. 25 with close to a hundred 18-and-below triathletes expected to compete.

Set to start at 7 a.m. at the Rizal Racquet Club inside the Rizal Provincial Capitol along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig, the event, sponsored by Smart, features three age groups in both triathlon and aquathlon. There will be individual and team competitions.

For the seven to 10 years old, it will be a 100m swim-2K bike-1K run in the triathlon, and 150m swim and 1K run in the duathlon; for those 11 to 14 years old, it will be a 200m swim-4K bike-2K run in the triathlon, and a 300m swim with a 2K run in the duathlon.

Organized by First Wave Events Inc. and sanctioned by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP), entry fee is P200 for individuals and P600 for the relay team. For inquiries, call 8964544 or fax entry form at 8956548.
