Shell stayed unbeaten with George Banks and Danny Jackson as imports last night, posting its first three-game winning streak in nearly a year with a 61-57 decision over RP Selecta in the Samsung PBA Commissioners Cup eliminations at the Caruncho Sports Center in Pasig.
The Turbochargers squandered a 10-point first-half lead in the low-scoring ballgame but gained the win with Banks and Jackson providing the key baskets at endgame.
That was Shells third straight win following three successive defeat enabling the team to tie San Miguel Beer at sixth place, just half-game behind Alaska (3-2) and Sta. Lucia (3-2) and a full-game behind Talk N Text (4-2) and Coca-Cola (4-2). Red Bull is along at the helm at 5-1.
National coach Jong Uichico started to shorten his rotation, fielding only nine players in the game. Still, the National feel short in their bid, suffering their third consecutive loss and their fourth in six games in all.
