Slippery floor forces another cancellation

Due to a slippery hardcourt that placed the safety of the players at great risk, yesterdays scheduled games in the 78th NCAA basketball tournament were called off, bringing to 12 the number of successive games that have been cancelled as a result of the inclement weather the past few days.
The cancelled games were those pitting Perpetual Help against Jose Rizal and St. Benilde against Philippine Christian University. For more than an hour, organizers tried to improve the condition of the playing court by spraying several liters of soft drink, mopping it up and placing electric fans on both ends.
The cancelled games, including those last Monday and Wednesday, will be held after the last playing date of the original eliminations schedule.
