Balladares tops Tali sailing tilt

NASUGBU, Batangas Ridgely Balladares emerged as the biggest winner in the recent Tali Beach Sailing Festival here by steering his 470 boat to victory in the open class.
Clarence Tayong finished second in a Laser while Rafael Buste was third in a Streaker.
Tayong and Buste actually topped their respective boat classes. Tayong beat Rico Magsanay and Roman Azanza in the Laser group while Buste toppled Bernard Flores and Darwin Santos in the Streaker class.
The other winners were Max Soriano, Optimist; Teodorico Asejo, Topper; and Benny Legarda, Sunfish.
Soriano finished ahead of Joseph Villena and Lester Tayong, Asejo whipped Carmelo Apdo and Leannie Tayong and Legarda beat Tong Manalac and Benny Alejandro.
Taal Lake Yacht Clubs Peter Capotosto, Luigi Manzi, Rex Puentespina and Mark Haswell outdueled the Tali Sailors in the Tali Challenge.
