West Negros leads winners in Adidas football

West Negros College, San Carlos City and Don Bosco thumped their respective opponents and kicked their way to the National Finals by ruling the second Visayas leg of the 1st Adidas Lightning Football competition held at Bacolod City this weekend.
The West Negros College footballers outsteadied University of St. La Salle, 5-4, to win the tough Open category. San Carlos City lorded it over the 19-and-under division by blasting Don Bosco, 2-0. In the 15-and-under class, the Don Bosco booters won convincingly over Bago City, 3-0.
The Visayas leg champions qualify to the first Adidas Lightning Football National Final slated on June 30 at the Ateneo de Manila University football grounds.
Present during the awarding ceremonies were Adidas product managers Nel Belgado and Mike Ignacio together with tournament director Jojo Rodriguez. The event is presented by Adidas Philippines in cooperation with Fuji Films and Mcdonalds and supported by Hotel Intercontinental Manila, ZED, HSBC, Sony Records, Dream Broadcasting, 99.5 RT and 89.9 DWTM.
