Rosales six shots behind

CORNING, New York The Philippines Jennifer Rosales fired an even-par 72 and trailed the leaders by six strokes after the first round of the
$1 million LPGA Corning Classic here Thursday.
Beth Bader made the first hole-in-one of her LPGA career and completed a round of six-under-par 66 at the Corning Country Club course, gaining a share of the lead with fellow Americans Laura Diaz and Sherri Steinhauer.
Rosales went two-under after the first five holes with birdies on Nos. 2 and 5 but lost two strokes with bogeys on Nos. 6 and 8 and scored regulation pars from hole No. 9 onwards.
Bader is in the lead for the first time in her career as she enjoyed her best round Thursday. (AFP)
