Espinosa KOs Beleno in big comeback fight

-
Former two-time world boxing champion Luisito Espinosa made a swashbuckling comeback from a 16-month layoff yesterday, scoring a second-round knockout of Colombian Ever Beleno in the maiden offering of "Fight Night at the Tank" in San Jose, California.

Espinosa, 34, knocked out Beleno at 0:42 of the second round, thus, fanning his hopes of getting another shot at the world championship.

The former World Boxing Council featherweight titlist and World Boxing Association bantamweight ruler punished Beleno with a combo to the body before unleashing a vicious left to the chin that sent the Colombian southpaw down on the canvas.

Beleno was counted out, giving Espinosa a 45th win against 10 losses. It was Espinosa’s 25th win by knockout.

Beleno, also 34, suffered his 11th loss against 38 wins.
