Carlos makes jungolf team to San Diego

Jobim Carlos completed his big comeback from a struggling start by winning his third straight title recently in the Jungolf summer circuit and clinch a spot in the country’s San Diego Junior World delegation.

Carlos, who lost in the first two legs, nipped Woolen Superal by two strokes in Class D (11-12 years) in the fifth leg of the circuit at the Tagaytay Highlands and Tagaytay Midlands courses.

Don Padilla (boys Class A) and Dottie Ardina (girls Class E) took the titles in their respective divisions in sudden-death playoffs.

Other winners were Katrina Gonzales in girls Class A, Lawrence Negrido and Erlaine Lumanog in Class B, Miguel Camitoc and Katrina Briones in Class C, Mia Picco in girls Class D and JR Gonzales in boys Class E.

The results:

Class A: Boys (155 D. Padilla (won via playoff), SK Lee, K. Ugarte, 157 JY Cho, 158 V. Tan) Girls (170 K. Gonzales, 183 M. Salivio).

Class B: Boys (150 L. Negrido, 155 I. Intal, 161 C. Hong, 162 A. Dimabuyo, 163 IG Gutierrez) Girls (187 E. Lumanog, NN Sevilla 203).

Class C: Boys (162 M. Camitoc, 171 R. Mamac, 176 M. Sevilla, J. Grananda, 186 I. Sumampong) Girls (K. Briones 167, 195 F. Pawal).

Class D: Boys (128 J. Carlos, 130 W. Superal, 131 L. Evangelio, 136 J. Ong, 145 M. Arevalo) Girls (125 M. Piccio, 149 C. Rodriguez).

Class E: Boys (JR Gonzales 109, 118 M. Tabuena, 132 JP de Claro, 134 C. Ricohermoso, 145 AR Ramos) Girls (D. Ardina beat C. Potenciano in playoff).
